Louisa's graduate collection, Flesh empowers women to wear what they want and embrace their bodies and not to conform to society’s beliefs about women and sex. Inspired by the 70’s women and sex revolution, where women fought against the government’s and society’s beliefs about the ideal woman from their body, race and their sexuality then leading on to today’s politics surrounding women.

 

Drawing inspiration from the famous 70’s nightclub; Studio 54, a place where people could be themselves or anyone they wished without being judged. Muses such as Debbie Harry, Grace Jones and Bianca Jagger from members of the public, if you had the look you were in. being notoriously known for alcohol, drugs, sex and lots of it.  Flesh has hints of the glamorous themes you saw in Studio 54 with nods to bondage and fetishism.
